How to play Slap ’N Sip
If you can throw a sticky hand, you already know most of the rules. Here is the rest.
Setting up
- Clear a table or a patch of floor. Sticky hands grab crumbs before they grab chips.
- Hand out one sticky hand per player. Keep the spares nearby: somebody will throw theirs at the ceiling.
- Put the Sip Chip in the centre, an equal stretch from everyone.
- Shuffle the 200 cards and put the deck face down next to the chip.

Playing a round
- Somebody calls go. Everyone throws their sticky hand at the Sip Chip at the same time.
- The first hand to drag the chip back to its owner wins the round.
- The winner draws the top card and reads it out loud. The card decides who sips, who dares and who is safe.
- The chip goes back to the middle, everybody reloads, and the next round starts right away.
House rules people add after the first night
Ties
Two hands on the chip at once? Both players draw a card and the table picks the funnier one.
Thrown too early
A hand that leaves before go costs its owner a sip, a dare or a round on the bench.
Big groups
With ten or more, play two chips at once. Twice the chaos, half the waiting.
Keep score
Play to five chips. The first to five picks the music for the rest of the night.
Playing without drinking
Every card that says sip works just as well with a penalty that is not a drink: a dare, a point lost, a song sung, a lap around the room. Decide before the first round and write it on a napkin in the middle of the table so nobody has to remember.
